Guest Sweetie Spot! :)

I'm SO excited & honored to be a guest sweetie this week at Cupcake Inspirations for Challenge #121.  Here is the inspiration (cup)cake for this week...

I was very inspired by all those shades of purple and the many circles used in this photo.  Of course, I needed a pop of green in there as well.

This week Cupcake Inspirations has TWO cupcake inspiration images for their Challenge 120.

From this one, I really took the pastel colors- pinks, purples, and such.

From this one, I took the pink & the polka dots. 



Here's the card I made... a little square card... I love how the sentiment plays off the 4 squrares I used on the design! :)

More Pinks & Greens

I got lots of inspiration today from Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 119...

I thought about going for the princess theme & even got my stamp set out and ready... but I just couldn't resist the big pink flower and the green from the frog...

I also got a little inspiration from the sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping- FTL 149. 

As you can see, I did add a little extra banner to the card for my sentiment (since it just DIDN'T work the other way) and made the card *almost* square to let the banner hang off a little.  I think it looks super sweet! :)

So Happy For You Rainbow

I've been LOVING rainbows lately... they're so fun and bright and summery!  So, I was quite happy when I saw the inspiration cupcakes at Cupcake Inspirations this week.  Here they are...



In addition to being oh-so-cute, don't they look delicious, too?!?!  YUM!

I'm linking this up to their weekly Challenge #118...

I used a kraft base & used a thin strip of black mounted on white to keep it crisp with all of the other rainbow colors.  I used scraps (YEAH!!!) to create the butterflies using the Martha Stewart classic butterfly punch.  The red, yellow, blue, and pink butterflies are all double punched and popped up for dimension.  I topped off the butterflies with some little rhinestones.  The sentiment is from this year's SU Sale-a-bration. 

This card is for a family friend who just graduated & took her exams to get her permanent nursing license.  She found out today that she passed!  Woo hoo!  I'll be giving this card to her in the next few days.  I hope she likes it!
