I LOVE making cards that are not standard size, and something especially draws me to square cards. I think it's because I crave a sense of symmetry.
Anyhow, I just loved the Mojo Monday sketch this week, so I had to give it a whirl this morning for a birthday card I need this week. Here it is...
I'm linking it up to the Mojo Monday Sketch 197
I used a piece of white cardstock for the base & cut it down to 4 x 4 square. I used a piece of polka dot paper from American crafts in a slightly smaller square and rounded all of the edges. I used some new stamps I got from the dollar bin at Michael's called i-cling. I stamped the candles in SU Basic Black and colored them with markers and stamped "Make a Wish" in SU Pixie Pink. I mounted that square on some green scraps I had that coordinated to the polka dots in the paper. I added a little blue/turquoise ribbon to the bottom and top of the sentiment and topped it off with a big pink button. I think it turned out cute, and I think it will make the recipient smile.
What do you think? I absolutely LOVE reading your comments. :)
Have a wonderful day!
